Walking Festivals/Walking Holidays/Fundraisers

We get many emails and facebook invites to Walking Festivals and Fund Raisers throughout the year, as well as to commercially run walking holidays here and abroad.

We tend to pass on commercial information to other members based on first-hand experiences of club members who have travelled with those firms and to "share" fund-raisers/charity events on Facebook.

Sympathy

We were saddened to learn of the deaths of two former club members.

Sheila O'Flynn and Jim Watkins were both in their senior years when they walked with us at seperate periods of our club history.

Sheila will be remembered for her enthusiasm and help with club activities and especially for her assistance with our walking trip to the Belgian Ardennes.

Jim is remembered for his sense of humour, his stories and his stamina tackling some of the mountain peaks we walked in Kerry and Connemara.

Our sympathy to Sheila's and Jim's families. May they Rest in Peace.
